Permits
The Port issues permits for:
- Construction within the Port’s jurisdiction
- Encroachment on sidewalks or streets within the Port’s jurisdiction
- Temporary no-parking related to construction and approved events
- Hosting public or private events on Port parks or piers
- Mobile vendors on the waterfront
Film productions requesting to close Port streets or sidewalks must have a permit from the SF Film Commission.

Street Performers at Fisherman's Wharf
Licenses for scheduled street performances at Fisherman's Wharf.
Public Art Program
Artists and sponsors can request to display temporary art installations on Port property.
Maritime Services
Includes harbor services, cargo and shipping, cruises, commercial layberthing, commercial fishing and Foreign Trade Zone 3.
