Accessible and Language Services

Digital Access

The Port of San Francisco wants everyone to be able to use this website easily. 

We follow rules for accessibility (WCAG 2.1, Level AA) and language access (San Francisco Language Access Ordinance).

Language Access     

The Port provides:  

  • Live interpretation   

  • Translated meeting materials by request  

If you need translation, email the Port’s Language Access Liaison, Lucinda Hom (lucinda.hom@sfport.com). Please email at least two full business days before a meeting so we can make sure support is available.  

Contact the Office of Civic Engagement and Immigrant Affairs if you need to file a complaint about language access.   


Meeting Access  

Public meeting rooms have accessible entrances, water fountains and restrooms.  

The Port’s offices are located at Pier 1 on The Embarcadero. 

The Port Commission Hearing Room is located on the second floor of the Ferry Building. 

The services we provide are:  

  • Assistive listening devices at public meetings   

  • Accessible seating at public meetings  

  • TTY in Pier 1  

If you need assistance, email the Port’s Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator, Melanie Kung (melanie.kung@sfport.com). Please email at least two full business days before the meeting so we can make sure support is available.   

Please do not wear products with strong scents at public meetings.

Accessible Parking and Transit  

The Embarcadero and nearby streets have metered parking. State rules allow cars with disabled plates or hangers to park at metered spaces for free.
