Located just west of the Noonan Building (Building 11), Building 21 is a two-story structure measuring 101’-2” long by 75’-6” wide by 44’ high. It is a steel frame structure with corrugated metal cladding and contains 10,172 square-feet

This building dates to the Risdon Iron Works period (c. 1900) and is the only building left from that iron works. It has functioned as a machine shop and transformer house and contained offices, store rooms, compressor rooms, and compressor rooms. It now functions as a substation for the Pier 70 site and for storage
