January 8, 2025 Meeting Canceled - Fisherman’s Wharf Advisory Committee (FWAC)
Dear FWAC Members and Interested Citizens,
Our FWAC meeting scheduled for Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 9am has been canceled. Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Below are some general updates on previously presented projects. You can find the meeting notes from our last meeting on November 6. Happy Holidays!
1. Crab Season Delay
The local commercial crab season has been delayed but is expected to (hopefully) open sometime in January 2025.
2. Wharf J9
The float is in and installation of the deck and additional components are underway. Utility/street work on Al Scoma Way is nearing completion. The Port is targeting early January 2025 to open the float, in time for the anticipated crab season opening.
3. Fisherman’s Wharf Revitalized
Following Port Commission approval of the Term Sheet in October, the City Budget & Legislative Analyst’s office reviewed the independent financial consultant report and determined the project to be fiscally feasible.
In December, the Board of Supervisors Budget and Finance Committee positively recommended a finding of fiscal feasibility to the full Board of Supervisors, and the Board then unanimously voted to approve the fiscal feasibility report and endorse the Term Sheet with Fisherman’s Wharf Revitalized.
Over the next 12-24 months, the developer will develop more detailed designs, conduct transaction document negotiations with the Port, engage in outreach with Fisherman’s Wharf stakeholders, perform financial and operational due diligence, and undergo environmental and regulatory review.
