The Port of San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf is the center of Northern California's commercial and sport fishing fleets. Additionally, the Wharf's Pier 45 houses the West Coast's largest concentration of commercial fish processors and distributors.
Sport Fishing
Northern California is considered the Salmon Capital of the West Coast. Last year approximately 300,000 or eighty percent of salmon caught by sport fisherman were hooked in Northern California. San Francisco's sportfishing fleet is located on Jefferson St. at the Wharf.

Commercial Fishing
