Director of Communications

Eric Young is responsible for Communications, Public Affairs, and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program for the Port. Prior to joining the Port, Eric served as Director of Communications at the San Francisco County Transportation Authority, leading public outreach and advising on policy. Eric was a news reporter before becoming a communications professional. He wrote for several publications, including the Los Angeles Times, San Diego Union-Tribune, Sacramento Bee, and The Industry Standard. Among his beats, Eric wrote about the Port of San Francisco for the San Francisco Business Times. A San Francisco native, he is a Stanford University graduate.
